30 Quirks about me

1. I love the smell of Autumn! Can't get enough of it. In fact, I love everything about Autumn. The earthy colors, the rustle of leaves, pumpkins, cool air, spices, corn mazes and Halloween.
2. I also love the smell of shoe stores.
3. I love Mountains, wildflowers, rivers, rocks, pines, aspens and anything rustic.
4. I can't hear enough of a good acoustic guitar player. It just creates that longing in my heart that wishes I could play that well. Although, it probably would help if I practiced. But a girl can dream can't she.
5. I love digital scrapbooking, mostly just downloading the freebies. Eventually I will create with them all, right?
6. I miss spending the night at Grandma's and her telling the story of Epamandas and singing Poor Mrs. Fritz. I will never forget the night we laughed ourselves to tears!
7. My favorite holiday is 4th of July. I love red, white, and blue, flags and our country. Nothing is better than a good BBQ with family. Perhaps a waterfight, and can't forget the fireworks! Plus no presents are given this day.
8. I love curling up in a warm blanket beside a fire with hot chocolate in hand. Plus it is even better with someone to cuddle with, be it my husband or my cuddlebugs.
9. I love campfires. Nothing is more mesmerizing. Plus a good poker stick makes it that much more enjoyable.
10. At bedtime, I love graham crackers and milk for dipping. So do my boys.
11. I have a tendency to be shy, but get to know me and be silly with me and I come unleashed.
12. I love lists. I Don't know why, I just keep creating them because it just makes me feel good and helps me remember everything I want to do, must do, or have to do. I probably spend more time writing them than accomplishing them.
13. I am a little obsessive compulsive. Everything has its place and must be just right or it drives me crazy. But it makes for an organized house most the time.
14. I love steak, bloomin Onions, Corn on the Cob and hand picked peas (But only out of the garden), yogurt and granola, keylime pie, cookie dough ice cream, popcorn, and peanut butter M&M's.
15. I miss being a biological technician. Oh the good ol' days. Memories memories. Hiking miles, enjoying nature, and camping out with buddies, catching frogs, seining fish, riding horses, tracking tortoises, studing and improving habitats, etc. etc. etc. The 20's were the best years of my life.
16. I guess I was a little granola. Probably more so then than I am now. But I always shaved my legs and wore a little make up. haha.
17. I hate dish rags, they always stink. They are one time only uses for me.
18. I hate cleaning bathrooms and kitchen sinks. Good thing my 4 yr old loves toilets, now it's his job.
19. I dislike TV, and Computer Quest games. What a waste of time, it doesn't make anyone a better person or create something tangible for others benefit. Okay, once in awhile for when you're really bored. But I always have something better to do. I just feel too guilty when I see how much time I've wasted.
20. Family and good memories are the most important things to me. It is the only thing you really have to take with you. Invest your time in it.
21. Another pet peeve. What happened? People used to help each other. And what happened to chivalry. Now everyone just seems to stand around and watch other people struggle. Thank you to all those who still help their neighbor, friends, and family without them asking. Thank you for those who lend a helping hand and expect nothing in return. Thanks to those that go the extra mile. Those are the people I admire more than any other.
22. I love vacations, good food, warm weather and sunshine. Just wish I could do them more often.
23. Winter is my least favorite time of year. Yes, It can be beautiful but one or two months for the holidays is all we need. I dislike icy roads, being cold, and wearing coats. I get cabin fever too easily. I don't ski. I tried it once and what an event. Never been so glad to be at the bottom of a hill. I'm sure those I ran over were glad too.
24. I love morning walks. Hearing birds sing and seeing the world through a child's eyes.
25. I love photography and taking pictures.
26. I had an art scholarship in college. I loved to watercolor. Just haven't done it in awhile.
27. I think the hardest job is that of a Mother.
28. I am stubborn and uptight. It's in the genes. Good thing I have an easy going husband.
29. I hate being late and waiting for those that are late.
30. I dislike snakes, everything to do with them. They give me the heebie jeebies.
