Reaping the rewards of our labors
I wanted to teach my boys how to raise a garden so we attempted this year with peas and strawberries. Our yard isn't quite set up to have a garden yet so we used a grow box at my mom's. The kids enjoyed planting the seeds, and Caleb wanted to sit and watch them grow. To his disappointment, I told him he would be there for weeks. So he decided to just check on them often and keep them watered.

Caleb thought it was great fun to shell the peas, but picking the peas was another story. Jacob just wanted to eat them.
Alas my strawberries were not fruitful. The whole 3 that I had were picked in their unrippened stage by a little boy named Jacob who loves strawberries and just couldn't wait.
