So if you haven't noticed my favorite season is Fall. In fact, my whole house is Fall colors. So what would be more fitting than a Fall family photo to match the decor.
I enjoy taking photos and have a decent camera. I have wanted to take my own photos for quite some time to cut the outrageous costs of those professional places, especially if you want to take them on location. Also, I want the copyrights to do with them as I will.
My only problem is to get my children to cooperate and have somewhat of a decent smile to get that shot. So my friend eagerly offered to help get the kids to look at the camera and snap the photos, in exchange for me taking her family photos for her. So we had a fun night out with our families up Big Cottonwood Canyon. After the photos, we had a hot dog feast and enjoyed the awesome scenery. The changing leaves made the perfect backdrops. We figured, hey if the photos don't turn out we have nothing to lose, I am by no means a professional. But, we were pleased with them. Also, happy to say it only cost me $1.50 for a 8x10.
Here are a few of my favorites

WOW! Can you come do ours?
Great photos! And the price is right! :D
They look great! Next time it's me and you doing the photo's..yes?
I want a 5X7 to hang on my wall please. I love the ones of your boys separate with the bright orange behind them.
Nadia took our Easter ones in between our ward and heading to a baby blessing. I had a 16X20 made for $11. And the year before that was at the end of our street with my friend snapping them. They seem to be the best kind.
Those are awesome, Tammy! Yeah...I wish I had a better camera. I don't take as nice of pictures with my cheap little digital camera! Of course, I haven't tried either...so...you have inspired me! Off to the mountains!
Yes, I will do anyones photos, I need the practice as long as you don't curse my name if you don't like them. haha.
mommajo, this is now my yearly tradition with the fall leaves. I too want a 16x20 to hang above the fireplace. I would like it on canvas, but it is a bit pricey.
Those are nice!!! Don't tell your friend I said this, but you can tell which ones you took, aside from the fact that you aren't in them. They just have that little extra personality oomph that makes them look professional!
Thanks Deb!
