Field Trip

We are continuing our coop preschool this year for Caleb. However, we have changed our curriculum a bit. Last year we focused on the alphabet with a theme for each letter. This year we decided to make it a little more advanced for the kids and assigned a mom for each catagory: Physical, Social, Language, Science, Music, and Art. I was assigned the Science mom. Each mom only has to teach 4 times a year and we have a monthly field trip. My first lesson was on the Earth. We talked about rocks, had a dinosaur dig in the sandbox, made fossils, and did a science experiment with the vinegar and baking soda volcano. It was a hit.

Our first field trip was to Silver Lake up Big Cottonwood Canyon to view the changing leaves. These trips are fun because the little siblings get to come. Jacob always cries cause he wants to go to preschool too. But, he also get to partipate when it's my turn to teach.

By the way, this is Jacob's little girlfriend. They are so cute with each other and Jacob is a real gentleman and takes care of her.

I love co-op preschool too, we call it Joy school here. I did 2 years with Hud and Parks each. We did field trips too. And holiday parties where the siblings were invited too. Those were my favorites, I always looked forward to the good food.
Logan won't start until next year so I have this year off. I had carpets for them to sit on and Logan hated sharing with someone. He thought he was just one of the big kids.

You are a great photographer.... it is your patient side! I take terrible photos because I am so impatient.
Hopefully I can keep up with everyone else's blogs now that I have one to keep linked up with!
