Pumpkin Carving

For Family Home Evening we picked a couple of pumpkins from the pumpkin patch to carve. Caleb wanted a scary one so I helped him carve his. Jacob wanted Dad to help him carve Jack the Pumpkin King. You forget how tiring and time consuming it is to carve a pumpkin.

During this time we had a visit from our Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman. He rang our doorbell and quickly dissapeared after leaving a pumpkin, spiders, and spiderman fruit snacks, with a note that said "Happy Halloween Caleb and Jacob, love Spiderman".

That is a good idea, I might start the spiderman thing. We haven't carved ours yet, it always gets too moldy if we do it this soon in the warm weather. Shoot we haven't even painted ours yet. We usually have them up for the whole month! That is our favorite thing to do, tradition since I was little. Remember our awesome pillowcase family we hung from your tree? And Brenda had a scary dream about her little guy in red socks chasing her. ha ha I might have to post that pic.

As always, I enjoy the photos of the kids. I saw a KSL TV news item on posting kids' photos in blogs (see URL below). I was particularly interested because Chris had already decided to go private, and I expected that you would follow soon suit. I hope you will check out the KSL story . . . .
