24/7

So who ever came up with morning sickness? It is more like 24/7 sickness and for me it progresses throughout the day. After lunch it just goes downhill and after dinner you can just forget about me wanting to do anything, but lie around trying not to dry heave and end up staring at toilet water. ewwh. I had to work last weekend and since I work in the evenings you guessed it I had to visit the public restroom! What could be worse than that to cause more dry heaving. I don't remember having much morning sickness with my other two kids. I think I just felt tired and blah. SOoo just maybe it's a girl?:) However, Caleb wants nothing but a boy. haha.
Most of the time I just feel nauseated which causes me to want to eat. So I eat it works until I am done eating so then I want to eat again. I fear my weight. I put in more than I lose! Oh and salt makes me feel better, Chris could you get me a bowl of potato chips!

But I do crave fruit and apples and juice helps too. I need to go shopping to buy some fruit. I've heard lemon juice works.
I went to the Dr. on Monday and had my labs drawn. After 5 vials! OOHH I almost passed out! I looked at the lab tech and said I don't feel well and she said you don't look it! Stay put. I was sweating up a storm and had my head between my legs. She gave me a cold rag and some orange juice. After awhile I felt a little better, but she said my pupils weren't normal yet. I felt bad for those waiting their turn so I sat out in the hallway until I felt I could walk and drive home. I even ate breakfast that morning and didn't even watch, but I think my brain just says "hey I need that blood! shut down, shut down."
I got so much stuff from the Dr. visit that I told them I needed a backpack to carry it all home. I have been taking over the counter Prenatals from Costco. They work great for me. However, they want me to take expensive prescription prenatals and gave me free samples to try. I compared the ingredients and they are almost the same! Infact, mine have more vitamins. Okay so it has 800 mcg of folic acid compared to the 1000 mcg but pregnant woman only need 400 mcg. So I will take this up with my doctor next time. Most prescriptions make you sick. My previous doctor told me it was fine to take the over the counter ones and my babies were healthy.
Anyhow, I am grateful Caleb has so many friends so that he goes to play and I can take a nap with Jacob.
I don't want to do anything and have so much to do. I have YW in Excellence tomorrow night (I am now the 1st Counselor in YW), and I have to teach preschool Thursday, and my house needs to be cleaned!
This too shall pass, hopefully sooner than later, but I will be grateful cause it means things are progressing well and the hormones have kicked in.

Awe! :( I'm sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. At least you know that it will end sometime though, and isn't some life long illness! :) Hang in there.
As I'm sure you know, I know EXACTLY how you feel.. evenings are bad times for me too. I'm crossing my fingers that I'm on the downward slope... the bathroom visits haven't been as frequent lately... so I'm crossing my fingers.
Hang in there.. maybe it is a girl! :)Imagine Chris taking care of a little girl... CUUUTE!
Sorry you are suffering.
But, congratulations on your new assignment in YW!
As soon as you know it IS a girl, you will have to start subtly persuading Caleb that being the big brother of a little sister is SOoooooooooooo IMPORTANT. :D
I never got real sick with any of my kids. With all my boys I definately felt blah in the evenings. But I never threw up. Why is it called "morning" sickness then? My boys always wanted boys too, but now that we are done..Hudson said he wanted a baby girl about a month ago??? I think cause we have baby Hazel, my niece, and they like her. Ew yes staring at the toilet makes you heave. I just close my eyes. Hopefully it stops at about 13 weeks, mine always did. Why do they draw so much blood? I don't remember them doing that to me. It makes me laugh to picture you with your head between your knees all sweaty.
I am the last person to comment on morning sickness, but I do know a great deal about having blood withdrawn. Barq's and Lorna Doones work for me. The nurses hide the refrigerator when I show up at the Infusion Services office.
